How can I overcome self-doubt?

Overcoming self-doubt is a gradual process, but the encouraging thing from the outset is that self-doubt is a mindset, and we can use the power of the mind to reverse it. Here are some helpful tips on overcoming self-doubt.

  • Identify the root causes of the feeling of self-doubt. Then ask yourself why you gave that situation permission to transform into a lack of confidence.
  • Journal your feelings, their origins and add as much detail as you can. Theirs is a great deal of science supporting this methodology.
  • Set exciting goals. I will be covering the secret of goal setting in my monthly subscriber resources.
  • Rewrite your CV and spend time evaluating your successes.
  • Positive affirmations deliver a positive attitude.
  • Do not live in the world of failure, live in the world of learning and development.

Self-worth is closely linked to self-esteem and self-confidence. Self-worth refers to the sense of value one assigns to themselves and is key to ones mental and emotional well-being.

How can I build confidence?

There are many ways to build confidence and here are some examples…

  • Set realistic but stretching and exciting goals
  • Visualise success and the impact attaining your goals will have on your life and others
  • Take care of yourself. Start to break down what wellness and wellbeing means to you.
  • Start to look at life with an inside out approach
  • Reflect on past success
  • Learn and develop new skills
  • Try and rid yourself of outside world negativity
  • Be mindful of your self-awareness. Do regular check-ins
  • Letting go of past issues is crucial

  • One of the greatest ways to build self-worth and confidence is by helping others

Why is self-confidence important?

Self-confidence and confidence differ subtly. Excelling in a job role doesn’t always imply self-confidence in social interactions or personal status. Self-confidence like motivation is an inside job and encompasses a broader outlook in various life situations. True empowerment comes from embracing oneself entirely.
